. . . rather than adopt the current “fad” of attempting to “autoscaling text to fit mobile screens ? >
2019 > we have Now created 3 WebSite(s) - formats
600px Tablet/Mobile Site ( body_”page”.htm )
this 600px “patial” Mobile Site ( “page”-m.htm
augmented by Mals Cart 800px
Our WIX Site “Partial” mobile” Shop www.chromtech-AUS/shop
and SHOP2CT ( scalable ?)
with basically the same detailed Tech Info PC > Tablet and now “partial intro” Mobile ( designated page-m.htm where converted > ongoing upgrade ?)
( using larger Text Fonts for better readability ) . . . & All on the one
Cloud-server . . . sharing resources etc
and Now at last at modest NDN speeds . . . & good for 3rd World Australia
We try and cater fir scientists who one would expect more tech detail than the average site can cope with
This mobile is but an intro to the detail on our Tablet > PC versions
I can’t beleive anyone would attempt to bother with current mobile “MickeyMouse” format to try and read A4 type papers
Curently as of 2016 FlipHTML5 FlipPage technology has evolved / perfected and largely has overcomes these limitation despite GOOGLES “head in the sand” attitude to web ranking . . . algorythms etc etc
It does automatically scale A4 PDFpages to suit “Mobiles’
It IS FAST and accomadtes huge bundles of ODFs esily ( some ~ 800 PDF page Catalogs are on our sites )
- but user B’ware of Bandwidth issues on mobiles
- altho’ FlipHTML5 thanfully are “page-served” compared to relatively useless original PDFs
- Readbility admittedly is Not GOOD . . . on older phones
- U pinch & ZOOM and / or rotate the Screen so that 600px screen format is quite readable !
- most modern phones Now have these features !
We’d in fact recommend a Samsung A8 as a minimum Mobile
I reckon it IS brilliant !
OUR HTM Pages are merely an Index to FLIP Pages
( maybe “small”PDFs 20p max )
FlipHTML5 ? - a NOT Unreasonable Compromise !
