SGE has various needle tip styles to suit a
range of applications and uses.
Bevel: Manual

Thestandard general purpose needle tip style
supplied with

SGE syringes is a

bevel t ip. It isthepreferred option for manual
inject ionwherepiercing the septum inexactly
the same place is difficul t. The bevel tip is
designed for opt imum septum penetration
and prevention of septum coring. Bevel tip

Cone:
GC
Autosampler
The cone shaped needle tip is specially
developed to withstand the multi injection
demands and improve septum lifet ime when
used with an autosampler. The cone design
effectively "parts" theseptum during piercing
not cutting it, aswould abevel needle. Cone
t ip needlesare also known as point style AS
for autosamp ler.
DualGauge:
Dual gauge needles have a narrow gauge
at the tip suitable for megabore on-column
injection.Thewider gauge for the remainder
of the needle gives increased strength to the
needle for autosampler use.

LC:HPLC
These needlesareused for LC and HPLC valve
injection and have a 90

rounded and polishededges. This eliminates
damage to thevalve'srotor sealandstator face.

This style needle is recommended for use
with pre-drilled septa. The tip isrounded and
polished to help septum penetration.
SideHole:
Samplesare filled and dispensed through the
side hole eliminating septum plugging of the
needle. Ideal for large volume gas injection.
